[pdf] Located between Hawaii and Australia, the 500 kW on-grid solar rooftop project and a 2 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) installed by Tuvalu Electricity Corporation in the capital, Funafuti, were recently commissioned by the Philippines-headquartered Asian Development Bank (ADB).
[pdf] The solar complex will cover 200,000 square meters (nearly 50 acres) in the Ain Sokhna industrial area, which is managed by the public authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone. Construction is expected to take three years, from initial building to full operation.
